+1 on blending just a little bit of chorus in.

I've done that with a Boss CE-1, which is in my opinion one of the best chorus pedals ever made.

I should probably chime in (ha ha) about my perspective when I'm doing live sound. I run the soundboard for my friend's church, and I do add some chorus and reverb on the voices to help fatten them up a little. It's a worship team, so the focus is going to be a little different I'm sure, but they've occasionally got some beautiful 3-part harmonies, so I want to bring those out. I contrast that with a thinner acoustic sound (emphasis around 5khz) and try to fill in with the keys. The electric guitarist is on his own, he uses the stock GT-10 settings, so he's already pretty effected.... enough that it's hard to squeeze him in, sonically.

So, it probably doesn't apply, because you're just talking about a little bit of "chime" and whatnot, but it's always worth mentioning that too much is sometimes... just too much.

Sparkle Boost?  Search for Andrew Carell / Dragonfly.  It's kinda like a Tillman, with much more output and a noticeable amount of grit.

Badabing! Sparkle Boost breadboarded tonight and sounded brilliant. Great suggestion ayayay!

I'm antsy to try a build with a tube/valve in it and was looking at the Valvecaster. Any thoughts on how the Sparkle Boost into the Valvecaster would sound?

adding a buffer in-front of a valvecaster tightens us bass and tone, depending on the tone shaping of the buffer. adding a boost give better overdrive in my opinion.  This is what I have done with some subminies, a Clean is boost in-front of the valvecaster gave a way better distortion than the valvecaster on its own.

If you put them in the same pedal this booster/buffer will also protect from changes is tone if you add other pedals before it.
