It can work fine using a quad, but if you do get any problems with the LFO bleeding into the audio there's very little you can do to get rid of it. Using separate chips for the LFO and audio is the best thing to do.

In general, the crosstalk inside a dual or quad opamp is specified in the datasheet. For the 074 is it so low as to be a non-problem with any reasonable audio.

However, my personal preference is to use duals instead of quads because it makes layout easier, more flexible, and more straightforward.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
