remote looper box also with onboard footswitch

Here is a schematic that I've used before and built a true bypass remote switching looper that utilizes a BOSS FS-5L (or tip to ground latching footswitch) to switch the loop in and out of the signal chain (I used to use it with my triaxis to switch a pedal in and out).

What I'd like to do is build this box again, but also have a stomp switch on it so that I can bring the effect in an out at will when the remote switch is not preset to be on. Would this be as simple as having a SPDT stomp switch that links tip to ground? Thanks!

Yeah, just put a switch that will connect the left hand side of the 10k resistor to ground. That will let you turn the loop on and off if the footswitch is not plugged in and do the same when the footswitch is plugged in but set to bypass. It won't override the footswitch if it's set to loop.

You could probably wire it with a DPDT to override the remote switch if it is set to loop.

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

Sorry if im worng. But is this for channel select?

I would also be interested in a vero layout of this if anyone has one.

brilliant, that way if I use the stomp switch it would always override the external source. That's probably the smartest option. I could probably even add a switch that would make it possible to override or not.

No, this is not for channel selecting, this is for remote bypass looping (like a Rockman Remote Loop, but actually true bypass). I actually made PCB's for these like 5 or 6 years ago but never built one. I'm going to pull them out this week and build one to see how it goes.

Yes, there are many options with this, you just have to figure out how to do the wiring, which shouldn't be too hard.
