OK - I've searched until I give up...and using 3G isn't very conducive to browsing for hours.

Can somebody tell me what the parts to tighten up the bass in a Metal Zone are?

The standard answer is to reduce the size of the input cap.  There're are probably other places in the signal path that could also be reduced, but you may not want to reduce the bass output too much, so try one at a time.  ;)

check out the griffin death metal mod on youtube.  i think it is the best sounding mod for that pedal.

I'm not looking for someone to mod my unit or someones mod - just the cap(s)/resistor(s) to change to tighten the bass.

Here's the schematic:
Wow, that's huge. Is there a way to resize images within the [img] tags?
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

I combined some parts of the Deizel mod and JCM 800 mod (from memory) and came up with a really nice pedal, with a lot of the noise reduced to boot.

    C35: remove
    C34: 0.047uF MKT Capacitor
    C25: remove

These three mods remove the harshness somewhat.

    C42: 1uf MKT Capacitor
    D3: 1n4001 diode
    D4: 1n4001 diode

This makes the sound more dynamic and full.

    C36: 1uf MKT Capacitor

This makes the EQ more useful.
