Best way to incorporate a Belton Brick into a tube amp?

I don't want to go:

input > Belton > preamp > power amp

...because I still want to be able to drive the 'tubey' input. So I'm thinking of tapping off the cathode of a later preamp stage into the Belton, then mixing the reverb'd signal with the dry signal at the input of the power amp stage. I know the reverb'd signal will be out of phase with respect to the dry, so I'll sort this out with the reverb circuit's output opamp. Sound like a plan?

The Peavey Classic 30 (using a reverb pan) and Bugera V22 (a Coolaudio V1000) just take and return the reverb signal at the input of one of the preamp tubes. I think that setup should work fine unless you want reverb-only sounds.
