lol, it's not how you make tailor fitted suits, it's all about how you wear them.

Sounds awesome!  So this is an easyface with "special mods"... are you sharing those?

Also awesome enclosure. Is that a repurposed fuzz face, repainted?  It looks candy-apple red from here.

thanks boxsnoo

i built this originally in 2000 in a red FF enclosure. i called it 'prehistoric series' for some reason and put black painted pony war paint on parts of it, and changed the dunlop lettering from white to black. i sold it to music go round in 2000 , then someone resold it back to them ten yrs after so i re-bought it.

it has the same easyface formula that is in the easyface w input cap blend version with a few exceptions:
100k input gain pot instead of 250k.  .0047 treble bleed cap across the hot lugs of the input gain.

2n2614 hot Ge ( probably 120 hfe using Rg's ,method) as Q2. this is not a deviation from easyface recipe, just noting that the tone might have something to do with a stellar trans in q2 position.

collector of Q2 biased to -4.6 v with fresh 9v batt.

do you mean lugs 2 and 3? I have been building lots of fuzz faces lately and I just use 100k or 50k vol pots to keep it from getting muddy. if I could use all the 500k pots I have with some trick that would be cool.

the bleed cap is on the input gain. this pedal has the stock dunlop output pot, which in the past have normally measured 350k +-

Sounds pretty gnarly! Wide range of sounds available, too.  :icon_cool:

thanks guys. it helps to have a darling of an amp to play it through. that is the esteemed acoushall, a brilliant jtm45 marshall replica makeover on an early 80s acoustic tube 1 12 combo ( celestion inside), built by my bro tiger gagan.
