Any one know the original transistors used in the older two single op-amps Blue Box?

Not sure how old mine is. I will check tomorrow.
An oxymoron - clean transistor boost.

Thanks Mark, and that defiantly the twin op-amp blue box?

It's the factory schem and shows a pair of dual op-amps.  I doubt whether use of those trannies will improve performance.  The Bluebox is a little "underdesigned".  If you're thinking that using the 1849s will improve tracking, I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

 :icon_biggrin: dual op-amps or two single op-amps (LM741CN)?

Just after the info for my own records, nothing to do with tightening up the tracking....... Best way to improve the tracking on a Blue Box is buy buying another pedal with just one octave down!   ;)

Ooops  :icon_redface:  You're right.  Two chips, but only one of them is a dual op-amp.  However, looking at the MXR factory schem for the issue that used two individual 741 op-amps, it still shows 2SC1849, so you're safe.

Thanks for double checking that one for me, really appreciated!
