How do those of you who use Diptrace schematic capture and PCB layout manage offboard components? For pots and switches, for instance, how/where do you create the pads? I know that I can ungroup the pot pattern for instance, however, you can then no longer compare the PCB and schem for verification. Or, a pad can be added to the PCB and then connected appropriately. I suspect that this is the "conventional" method. Currently, I have resorted to inserting a component in the schematic that has a single pad as a pattern where ever one is needed. There must be a better way as this seems such a kludge and it complicates the schematic.
An oxymoron - clean transistor boost.
