A friend asked me about the highway p bass wiring and how to convert to standard p bass wiring.
So I simmed the circuits. 250K J taper tone and volume .1uf tone cap "standard" P bass wiring
250K J taper tone and volume .1uf and .02uf and 4.7K fixed for the I believe it is called a greasebucket circuit

Interesting I looked up the CTS J taper.  I made a list to sim the 250K J taper for the tone control.  Simmed both circuits

I then simmed a 100K linear for the tone control with the "standard" circuit and it looked OK.  A 100K lin with the track cut away at full treble looks interesting

Once the tone control goes past about 100K it sims as not much treble  gained

Has this been done before 100K lin tone, .1uf cap and resistive track cut at full treble to disconnect the tone control ?

How spice can help tune a bass circuit.  trying to give more control to the rotation of the tone pot at the bass end.
The adjusted P with the .12uf and added 4.7k looks interesting.

Things change with changes in the cable capacitance(370pf) and input loading of the amp(1meg)
