Does any 5v LED's even exist ? No .

High-intensity blue.

And my diodes won't be stuck AFTER a EQ stage , i have never seen a pedal do that , anyway .

By EQ I mean more than just a tone stack, but coupling capacitors, Miller effect, etc. As I've heard it said, "it's all EQ".

I don't know how to explain this but , i am not very satisfied with my current 1N4001 parallel pair setup , they clip too early and aren't that heavy enough for me .
Mind you , i am designing a circuit for a VERY HOT guitar setup , because i have at least 1 or 2 +24db boosters .

Have you considered the possibility that you're simply using too much gain? I love the heavy stuff, but high output pickups and a distortion pedal (okay, maybe a tube preamp thrown in for fun) are all I've ever needed to get a nice fat heavy/lead tone. You could be losing tone by using so much gain....

Er , right , i have not come across high lm blues that operate on 5v , not me , but of course i'm talking RED LED's and 3mm's .
My very bright blue's are all 3.3V not 5V anyway
and yes , i love gain .
I am not a lead player that's why i can muddle without extreme gain .
