Anyone know of any pedals that use same pots across the board. Ive made my way through like 5 devi ever builds and would like to make something more useful. Dont care what the category of effect is, gonna make an order in next day or two and would like to simplify it with a couple different values, or get a cheap pack of same values off ebay. Im still in stage of getting the whole process down so not really looking to get rev log pots of 25k pots, Ive got several linear 100k pots and gonna get some 500k pots, in general are linear or log more versitile in anyone opinion. Ive been through a bunch of pcb sites to look at what values are being used. I did find a delay from rullywow that used 3 linear 50k pots, so that appealed to me, the main two effects i use are od/distortion/fuzz and delay, also anyone know where i can find a devi ever hyperion pcb? Ive made one on pad per hole, but if im gonna box it and do it all the way i want to use a premade quality pcb. Thinking about pulling trigger on that delay pedal but prob gonna wait as i know they are one of harder effects to build

Most volume pots are A100k so you'll need them for most builds.

thanks guys, 10 is when they go down to $1 a piece from small bear i think. gonna go ahead with 10 A100k and 10 various other. Are smallbears pots really better than taydas? Ive recently jlust got a few from tayda affiliate on ebay, they are 2 for 2.99, but free shipping and its here in 3 days. i could get 14 for 21$ even, or 20 from small bear, but i think shipping will run 7 or 8 bucks, so roughly the same price. In my 2 orders from small bear they took 3-5 business days before it even got shippied. I ordered from tayda ebay guy today at 10 am and at 2pm got a email that my item had shipped. Prob gonna stick with tayda reseller or affilate guy. Thaishine is his name. How long does it take to actually get from tAyda, ive never been patient enough to wait. I filled order form out and i think its said 14-21 business days

I'm currently repairing an early Rocktron Austin Gold overdrive that has B10K for all three pots.  Seems the later ones used A25K for the drive control, and also have more distortion available (there may be other circuit differences, I haven't checked).  The one I have here barely breaks up if you hit the strings hard with the drive maxed.  It is a really nice sounding clean boost, though.  I was surprised.  Some folks compare them to a Klon, but I've never played a Klon, and it's definitely not the same (or even similar) circuit.  It's ugly as all get out with a weird extruded aluminum enclosure, and it was impossible to get the board out without damaging the facia.

Small Bear stocks quality stuff. At the same time, there should be no difference in Alpha pots of the same model regardless of where you buy them. When you compare quality, look at the manufacturer. When you compare price, shipping time, and customer service, look at the supplier.

Didn't the original Big Muff's use all 100k linear pots (x3)? I made mine with 100k lin from the junk box. Works ok for me.

I've used both linear and audio but only for the volume, IIRC. Seemed to work fine either way.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.
