How to obtain the sound of the guitar from some songs of Lake of Tears?

Hello all,

I like very much Lake of Tears and I am very curious how fuzz used on some songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-NFvL2OLmM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afc5thsXmks.

It seems to me that is a germanium fuzz, but I am not very sure.

Thank you!

Sounds like a recto amp or digital distorter to me, with midrange scooped.

Thank you Pete!

I don't have any digital distortion because I don't like them and I don't have Recto because I have no money for :)

1 midrange scoop, could be a TMB, a cheap EQ can present a graphic display of tried-filterings, something simpler can generally be substituted to effectively get the desired MR scoop, perhaps an adjustable notch filter.
ZBig Fuzzy Fuzz sound...breadboard a BMP or 386Fuzz...any variants of dual-MU etc.
Breadboard and patchability to sections of what could be the final circuit may offer a host of variations which are all close or 'it'.

Thank you Pete again!

I have 6 variants of BMP...I will try them all...what 386-based fuzz suggest me?
I have a Peach Fuzz and a Krank Distors...
