I noticed that when I etched my Neutron PCB, that it seemed a little small. I did a 1 to 1 ratio off the pdf. But I made 2 boards that I just cannot get the parts on becasue the traces and holes are so close together.

So, Question to those that have built the Neutron, Is it supposed to be that small or is there an error? I noticed on the pdf, that when it gets to the graphic of the pcb, that even the text gets small, but I got this off the GEOfex website like it is..SO, is there something I need to do? I dont really want to sit and play with ratios as that seems a waste of paper. Has anybody done this one and did you have to alter the size of the pcb graphic?

Thanks..I really want to build this one, but it almost seems made for surface mount. :icon_question:

The pin spacing of DIP packages is always 0.100000" from pin to pin, and rows are 0.300000" apart.

If your printing comes out that size, it's right. If it's different from that, you have sizing problems.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I had the same issue printing right from the pdf.  Scale to 115% of original to get the 8.1cm x 4.8cm.  I measured the distance between the vertical and horizontal ic pins on a pcb i knew worked and found that scaling with trial and error.  Glad I figured it out before I drilled the pcb. Good Luck and happy building.
