Hey guys,

I remember a year or so ago I saw a "reference op amp" schematic.  It was just a simple booster, but it was a good example of good op amp design for guitar that could be built upon for other effects.  A lot of circuits I've tried to design and build have tone-killing properties that I would like to fix, but I can't find this example to try to work from.  I find a lot of information about op amp design just says "Rf and Rin" and off you go, which works, but doesn't usually sound great.  Anyone know the circuit I'm talking about? A link would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Gus

I don't know if this is what you wanted.  Look around this link.  I put notes in the sims screenshots to help out understanding of what some parts are for.

Both of those are absolutely excellent, and I think the one Gus posted was the one I saw before.  Thanks so much.

This one is similar and also helpful.  I find if I read the same information, stated in two different ways, it helps to sink in.
