Hi there,

I Have just recently started to prototype this on breadboard however the super tone control seems to be
varying frequency no problem however its not blending the signal like the sweep is just sat on top of the input
signal and varies with or with out a signal going through the input.

any ideas how i can make the input signal blend in so its varying the freq of that rather than its own oscillating one?

only thing i have changed in the super tone control schematic is used a TL074 and a 220nf cap on input and
220nf cap on output. Should the output cap be electrolytic or just a plan cap to stop this problem?

cheers

*realised I posted in wrong section before. Apologies

Can we see the schematic?  A tone control shouldn't generate any sound of its own.  It sounds like something is wrong.

Built one of these years ago.  Cool tone manipulator.  Oscillation may be possible if using the bandpass section with a high Q, though it sounds like there might be a wiring problem somewhere.  The small output capacitor might thin out the sound by cutting low frequencies.

Cheers I will do some fault finding and see if I can fix the problem. I will keep you posted

I got it working today. its not perfect but is there any decent tweaks and mods to do with this circuit?
