how important is the option for a battery to you guys? most people use power supplies now days on their pedalboards. but if a commercial pedal selling for 100$ didnt have the option would it break the deal?

Building a pedal for myself: No battery option.
For sale or for a friend: Always included.

Just because you know what your needs/wants are doesn't mean that's what everyone wants. If I'm making money off of a pedal, I'm going to give them that option for an extra $0.50 on my end.

In some instances, the battery snap IS the connector for an external supply.
