I posted this earlier under a different heading but no replies, so I'll try again:

I just made a tonebender mark II and it sounds great, but I modded it to have a"starve" function...a 10K pot between the battery and the circuit (the "dying battery simulator" idea on the Beavis Audio site).  I've done this before and it sounded great, but on this particular circuit, it causes CRAZY oscillation the moment I decrease the pot from its maxed-out position.  The circuit is PNP, with a silicon transistor in Q2.  I'd appreciate any help in figuring out how to get rid of the oscillation.

Try a small resistor at the emiter of Q2.
BTW, did you use a high cut cap between Q2 B to C? I noticed that sometimes this cap is the cause of oscillations, or strange sounds, when there is another similar cap at Q3.

Thanks Mac.  I will keep that in mind for future problems, but as it happens, PRR's post solved the problem completely, so thanks man!
