so.. I was wondering about something: I made a simple circuit with a 386 and 555 and couple of caps.. I've added 9 touchpoints.. will this effect my batterylife drastically? is there an easy answer?  theres also a +9v and grnd touchpoint

are you talking about body contacts, as in circuit bending?   if so, don't those usually just change resistance/capacitance...so shouldn't effect the battery life...

If a touchpoint is creating a short or is putting a heavy current load, then yes, it would drain the battery.
someone who can figure out the math could help, but they'd need to see the exact circuit.
always think outside the box

yes.. I'm talking about body contacts.. it works a little bit like the kraakdoos ' crackle box' .. but that one lasts ages on a battery..
i was just wondering, mainly because I cannot use a powersupply.. for the obvious reasons ;)

the prototype is working.. needs some adjustments before posting something.

Have you considered measuring the current draw?

IMHO the number of touchpoints will likely pale into insignificance vs the likely current draw that the LM386 will pull.
