How many milliamp?

I would like to know if someone could tell me an easy way to know how many milliamp have a stompbox,

1    Insert a plug into the pedal's input jack so it is powered on
     
2    Press the stompswitch so the pedal is on
   
3    Pop open the pedal so you have access to the battery clip
     
4    Connect only the positive side of the battery
     
5    Set your multi-meter to read mA values in the 2-200mA range
     
6    Connect the meter's probe in series with the battery and battery clip
     
7    Measure the current draw
