Quick Rookie Query. How do I wire the resistor in this schematic together?

How is the 2M Resistor in this schematic wired in?  It appears to have 3 connections?  I'm basically confused about the 2 way arrow that intersects with Q2.  I can see it connects to the base of Q2 but don't know where to wire it on the resistor.

That's a potentiometer, volume-control.

No, it is two arrows. The FET Gate has an arrow. The pot Wiper has an arrow. Maybe they should not be drawn so close together that it looks like a double-headed arrow.

You can use a 1Meg pot here. The difference 2Meg or 1Meg here is very small, and 1Meg is a lot easier to find.
