I have 2 effect pedals that I want to control with one expression pedal. My idea is to make a simple A/B pedal so I can select which effect unit I am controlling with the expression pedal. I've never made something like this but I am very familiar with soldering and other DIY projects.  The plug on the expression pedal is a TRS plug and I'm having difficulty figuring out how to wire a TRS A/B box. I'm also interested in wiring two LEDs into the box so that I know which channel I am using. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks a lot!

I'm a complete newbie to all this electronics and effects but i was looking through some switch stuff a while ago and i think i may have found an answer but I'm probably wrong because i have no idea how it would hook p to an expression pedal but its worth a look:

Yeah I found that link too but I don't think it's exactly what I am looking for. Anyone else?

If both pedals require a stereo jack and a two conductor cable then you could use a 4PDT switch. I'd also use two stereo plastic jacks in case of ground loop issues.

Wire it up like this.

FX1 Tip   FX1 Ring   FX1 Sleeve    LED1

EXP Tip   EXP Ring   EXP Sleeve    GND

FX2 Tip   FX2 Ring   FX2 Sleeve   LED2

This won't ensure silent switching, but should get the job done.
