Ibanez CP-9 Grit Mod

Hi all...
          So I'm sure everyone has seen the Tonepad version of the CP-9 with the Mod section for the second half of the LM13600. I would like to Hijack the gainstage out of the Tubescreamer and add a Grit knob on this design. Some direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure where to enter and exit this gainstage. Should I put it on a switch to get to "0" gain? Could I just wire this in right before the Level? Thanks in advance!
