guys, this friend gave me a japan made ds1 (should be may 1983) - he would like me to "keeley" it, would it be worth or it doesn't matter what kind of ds1 you are going to mod (taiwan/japan)!?

Also, even if I read the instructables of overdrive spider and other docs, I still can't understand the difference between ultra and seeying eye...it seems it's one or the other...can't you perform both?! And what's the switch for?! thx for shredding some light on the topic!!!  :icon_wink:

I mean, I read you have to use a SPDT to have ASE or ULTRA - so pos. one is standard and pos. two is one of themods.
While videos I've seen are both mods togheter, no "standard" mode and LED is always working.

mmm think I got it...The pdf build your own shows a way to wire on a switch either of the mods, while the original has a fixed led on d4 and the switchable led in series with the other diode. so it's two leds, the seeying eye is fixed so it lights up inboth modes, while the other on is wired internally on the switch to go in series with the remaining diode.
I guess that both that pdf and instructables are a little bit confusing...
