Hi,

I have a question for those DIYers who actually know what they are doing!

I'm building a pedal, which is basically 2 slightly different bazz fuss circuits, can have either or both on at same time ( which is fine, but I need to to have a bit more volume. To this end I'm adding the LPB-1 clean boost circuit to my signal path.

This works just fine, but I have way too much gain!! Which component(s) do I need to change, and to what, to bring the gain down to more managable levels?

Thanks in advance!

Ok thanks so much!!! Looks like I need to change R3 to something higher!

No, you should decrease R3 or increase R4.

Ah, thanks! I will gave that a go. The diagram is very helpful. I looked and looked for this kind of info, but I could find anything!

the real question is why you would need more volume. with a bazz fuss, you can probably hit unity at around 50-60%
always think outside the box

Do you think I don't need it? I wasn't sure it was giving me much boost. I could have been just thinking I didn't, running my tests through a small combo rather than my stage rig.

Many thanks for everyones input, I understand it a lot better now!  Thought perhaps I may not need it.  Time to make a separate booster pedal with those parts for my band's guitarist perhaps!
