Hey guys,

I've been working on the  trivibe lately.  I built two, one on perfboard and one on a PCB and they both have the same issue.

When using the 'swirl' or 'whirl' modes, the signal loses a lot of body - it seems like a lot of the mids are cut out and the signal is nowhere near as warm as the dry signal or the effected signal in vibrato mode.

Is this normal for the pedal? It doesn't sound like it on the youtube demos I've seen, but I could just be missing it with the tons of compression and loss of signal quality on youtube.

If it's not normal, any ideas for a fix? I've tried different LEDs and ICs and they've had varying effects on the sound but none of them have fixed this problem.   ???

Thanks

I built one of these pedals and it does color the sound quite a bit..hard to describe but seems to have a thinner sound...not as warm...slightly harsher tone...more treble...I changed the leds and used the 3 diodes in series..that only affects the clicking/ticking noises..did not affect the tone...I used box caps and have wondered if that had something to do with the tone....probably just the way the circuit sounds...for a vibrato/tremolo effect the rod elliot vibrato blows the trivibe away..and the EA/Pulsar as well....much better tone...but no uvivibe effect
