I'm over using an iron...just over it. I see that personal laminators are super consistent for toner transfers onto copper clad. Does anyone here use a lower end/cheap-ish model for their PCBs? They are quite expensive but at this point I just want a solid transfer every time, all day, forever.. Im willing to spend. Thanks Gents.

I almost bought one of these a couple of weeks ago: http://www.staples.ca/en/GBC-HeatSeal-Inspire-9-inch-Pouch-Laminator/product_356138_2-CA_1_20001.  But I am not over ironing (yet) so I passed for now.  I found a couple of reviews online for it saying they were using it for PCB toner transfers with good results.  So, I haven't any experience myself, but it seems that at least one of the cheap ones works quite well.

Wow GGBB thank you for that. Great link, way cheaper than I was expecting.

$23.16 on amazon in the US, glad I have Prime.

Seems interesting, but would like to know the results as I have no use for this other than PCBS

I'm pretty sure one of the PCB-use reviews I read was on Amazon US.

I'm using laminator for transfer with good results, can't remember exactly GBC laminator model, but one thing I know that not all laminators take 1.6mm pcb so when you choose make sure it does take thickness.

did find which one I am using: GBC HeatSeal H220 Quickstart Pouch Laminator, not cheap but does great job

Do any of these work with a single pass?  And with .6 think copper clad?

These guys hack the laminator so it gets hot enough to transfer on a single pass.  I've bought the laminator and all the components but haven't got around to doing it yet.

This is the one I use - it works quite well and is a dumb beast easy to adjust, mod, etc.

Did you have to break it open and adjust the rollers to accept FR4 for transfers OR does it self-adjust?
