Is it possible to make a clone of this pedal?


It's a digital pedal, so it could be a software issue.

It really depends on what you're going for, IMO. You could probably achieve some cool resonant sounds with a delay on a feedback loop with a mix/blend pot into your clean signal. But I'm not sure that something as complex as the Freeze is worth cloning, as it doesn't really break the budget at a little over a hundred dollars and is designed and constructed well. Trying to simulate that effect might be a little bit easier, and more worth your time.

If you are willing to go a different route, it becomes relatively trivial to code something to do this.  For example, I wrote something simple to do exactly this in ChucK last night... it has a few bugs, but for an hour of work, it's a simple effort.  That does require a laptop in the signal chain (so associated hardware).  Just a thought...
