http://www.mpcstuff.com/mpc-slider-post-switch.html

this is the replacement pot I need for the pitch slider on the mpc. The site sells it for $15. Do they really expect me to pay that?

printed on the side it reads: 314K 10KBx2
does that make it a 10k dual ganged linear pot?  Im shaky about the dual ganged part, it seems to have ten total lugs, 4 on each side and then two big lugs in the center (commons? for securing to the pcb?)

hopefully these next pictures work,  (if not here is the blog post that fails to mention the part number, http://barriomulas.com/wp/?p=2374 )

thank you in advance for any help! Id really like to finally have this control knob working on my machine.

Yes,they really expect you to pay fifteen. It takes unbelievable amounts of work to provide correct, specific parts for quality gear.
The real miracle is that it is available at all.

Yeah I guess you're right, I hope that didn't sound snotty, the site really does provide some excellent info about upgrading the different models of mpc.  But Im going to just take a cheap pot while I'm already ordering parts for pedals

If you have it apart try taking the slider pot apart and seeing what is wrong with it.  You might just be able to fix it without replacing it.
