Recently my fender blender stopped working.. I thought that maybe the foot switch (not the tone boost) wasn't working properly.. The bypass works but the part that engages the effect doesn't do anything... I guess the side makes contact to close the audio path but not to the effect side? I guess that's how the carling spdt switch works unless everything opens up...and then only engaes one side... I'm not sure apparently... Also the transistors are the round kind so I'm not sure which legs are the emiter, base, etc.. Thanks...sorry

Hi
Can't advise you about the switch, but you can still find the pin orientation from datasheets on the web for those round/can transistors.

You can check the switch out pretty easily with the continuity function on a multimeter.

Hey guys, I appreciate the advice that was given even with my vague descriptions... Right now I think the carling spdt switch works since the two conditions change like they should on both sides..for the normal function and the tone boost... There's a "debugging" procedure I'm aware of but for the time being I'm not sure that is the most important thing since the voltages I gathered from the transistors are negative DC even with the black lead on ground... I think that find is significant... I checked to see if the positive lead was for the input jack... It was... Other than that I'm not sure why the polarity would change or what part to investigate... This is interesting... Any ideas? Thanks!

Check the orientation of your multimeter probes as they go into your multimeter (hey, I've done it!) and your power supply.

;D It works! Now I can put the thing back together! Still sounds like the end of the world!
