Hi guys!
I think a lot of you have built GGG reverb based on belton brick.
I wouldn't call my suggestion exactly a mod - more like a tweak.. anyway  - here it is:
Since it is quite hard to fit it in small mxr type box (sorry - I don't know the hammond number for it.. 1590 is it?) it has to be built in a bigger box. A big box with one knob looks wrong.  A dedicated reverb pedal with one knob also sounds wrong. My idea was to give this device a clean sound volume control. This is done by changing R10 (39k resistor) to a 47k or close to that pot. This way the sound can get more "ghosty" when clean volume is reduced.
I guess we all know how this unit sounds "stock", so here is a clip with 100% reverb and 0% clean. Haven't boxed it yet - there's a pic of messy wires :)

PS - I know that it can be done with one "blend" knob but since there is enough space I wanted to do it this way.
I also know that this mod is really simple for a skilled pedal builder to figure out. But I guess not all pedal builders have EE knowledge, so may be it helps someone :)

If too much empty enclosure bothers you, you can use a really, really BIG status LED!
I did it with a Green Ringer, wich has no knobs. A, ehh, 15 mm. or so LED gave it a nice visual finish. And it looks cool too.

Actually I kind of dig the 100% reverb / 0% clean sound

Cool mod.  What reverb length is that?

I never liked the size of the enclosure needed for the big "brick".  Now that the small BTDR-2H brick is available it can fit in a 1590B.  I've got a project already for that.  Now it's on to cramming it into a 1590A  ;D

Yeah, that's it.  Good find, although I guess there aren't many BTDR-2H reverb's on youtube,  yet...  ;D
