has anyone built soul preacher with aarons layout?

Hi!
Has anyone built a soul preacher using this layout?

Just finished mine - it sounds nice with low compression pot values. When moving higher than 30% it starts to distort a lot.
Wondering if this could be because of tolerances betweet FETs?

Ahh, unfortunatly it does not sound ok at low compression levels as well. here is a link to how it looks when a string is plucked. Very rapid change in volume can be observed. It works kind a the opposite way I think....
It's 2am friday evening and I think I'm too tired to get this done. Any experience with soul preachers?

I bought one once, took it back because of the distorted or colored tone......

I actually have this on a partially completed perfboard right now. Has been in a box in my attic for about 9 months to a year. I used MarkM's layout. Since you brought it up, I will try to finish it off and report back when I get it working. I hope I will be able to help out.
