I am on the waiting list to buy the KOT and certainly will -- it's a modern classic.  But I am interested in making a quasi-clone...just a simple single effect, not the dual-in-one-box approach.

Can someone verify that this is a close-enough version of the KOT schematic?  The image itself is a bit further down on the page:

If this is it, more or less, I think I'd like to try it without the hard clippers and just stick with the soft clipping diodes (the two-by-two arrangement).  This is, I think, a little closer to the original Blues Breaker design, correct?

If so, would sidestepping the hard clipping diodes cause problems with the circuit's functionality?

Nope, it's working, I just tried it.  It seems to take a few seconds to fully load, and then you have to scroll down a bit to see the King of Tone content.

So -- yeah, I'd definitely appreciate confirmation of the schematic available on there, and suggestions about ways to implement useful mods, too.  When I eventually get my genuine KOT from Mike, I'm hoping to do an A/B comparison with the single circuit version I come up with and see where the mods make a difference.
