J201 substitution

Hey guys,
title kinda says it all. I dont have a opportunity to buy those J201 transistors and I need some decent substitute. Who knows any?

I've used 2N5457s in things like the Stratoblaster and they've worked fine.

I've really been digging on the 2SK117GR's from Tayda. Actually a bit more gain than 201's, IDSS is lots lower, but nice and quiet fet overall until you start getting into the 47k and up Drain resistors. Has a good grind to it, and IMHO, better sounding in most instances (that fet types matter in sound) than the 201's. Kinda IDSS and overdriven tone like a 5457 with a VGS like a J201.

I have not tried it myself yet, but it could be best to get just a couple of them and try them in the fetzer valve / http://www.runoffgroove.com/fetzervalve.html / to test how they perform.
If you decide to try them out, be aware that they seem to have Drain-Gate-Source pinout, not Drain-Source-Gate like the J201s.
