Easy Face Question

I built this easy face fuzz from the ggg schematic with parts I had on hand..I used a poly 0.01uf cap for the blend control going to the base of Q1 (2n3906) instead of the electrolytic ..would this make any difference in the circuit?..it seems to sound ok..

I think in some parts of a circuit it matters but from what ive read other people saying, a capacitor is a capacitor as long as its the right value and obviously with an electro you have to make sure its around the right way.

did you do an input cap blend?

Thanks for the reply..I followed the ggg schem exactly except for the 0.01 poly on the blend control..the 3.3 uf is electrolytic..it sounds fine anyway

I used an OC77 that I bought from mammoth.. sounds pretty smooth
