Hi All,

I used to post on this forum quite a long time ago under a username that no longer exists here (edgemeister). My my how things have progressed! There's so many more pedals to build and try out it really is quite amazing.

I remember my mother yelling at me about 5 years ago for using her iron to do a PCB transfer using photo paper. Do people still do this?

Anyways, enough nostalgia. I'm back to using non-rack effects and now favour a simple board featuring a couple of humble analog pedals. On of which is an original Marshall Bluesbreaker BB1.

I've seen some diagrams on the internet for making this true bypass with a 3PDT switch, however the posts are so old that the images no longer show up.

Rather than risk damaging the unit by going in blind, I was wondering if anyone has any diagrams or instructions for performing this mod and keeping the unit intact?

Thanks in advance guys.

Kind Regards,

John

I would strongly recommend against modifying an original, and potentially very valuable, pedal. Instead, look into building yourself a true-bypass loop box, which will allow you all of the noise-free benefits of true-bypass switching without making a single change to the bluesbreaker.

Beavisaudio has some of the best schematics for this: http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/PedalHacker/index.htm
