Put a vero together for a fuzz face with Fuller mods. I'd like some feed back to see if everything looks good. thanks

started to put this together but I'm getting contact between the bias pot contact at F1 and the Emitter of Q1. When nothing is hooked up to the vero the cut eliminates the connection. Any body see a mistake on the vero or am I misinterpreting the schematic somewhere. My understanding is that the Emitter of Q1 should not be connected  to anything but ground

due to the proximity of your input wires/traces, check for a solder bridge there.

either that or you didn't fully cut your trace on the vero. do a continuity check across that trace to make sure you broke it fully.
my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.

They are broke fully. When I remove the parts I get no continuity on the board but when I put them back in I'm getting continuity between the Q1 emitter and C1, and the bias pot connection. I'm  assuming I have a short somewhere but I can't find it. I'm also assuming my layout is correct

any idea why it doesn't really work when it is all wired up but when I place my finger on the upper right (B 11ish) side of vero board is works fine? Must be a ground issue but I think I have everything grounded that should be. Anyone see a mistake on the vero or an idea about the mistake I've made?

thanks again. This is my first layout

I can't see anything wrong with your layout. Might be a problem with the off board wiring to the jacks and battery, have you got ground connected to the sleeves of the input and output jacks? How is the battery connected?

i wired everything up according to this diagram

I have the fuzz face in a box with a rangemaster. The rangemaster is working great.

I've traced the ground from all its various locations and I'm getting continuity. However, I'm not getting continuity between C3 and ground. I believe I should be looking at the schematic. Any tips would be appreciated.

i have the battery's - (red wire) to the ring of the input jack and the + (black wire) connected to the power leads of the rangemaster and the fuzz face

thanks again
