I was making merlins equinox reverb and while i was cutting the copper board i cut the tip of my finger off.
I can barely play anything at the moment. So i was wanting something new to play around with till it heals.
If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

At this moment I'd say that the only right direction is to your favourite guitar gear store to buy one. Ebow is in principle relatively simple (you can google ebow diy project) but you need a lot of mechanical craftsmanship (and right tools) to build one useful for real playing (accurate and comfortable shape of the casing metters). I would not try to build one even with both hands healthy btw. :)

Get well soon, T.

Ouch, good luck with that.
For the amount of work involved, you're waaay better off buying one, spend the time learning how to use it well.
As far as I know it's basically a feedback amp (JRC386?)  driving a shaped-core coil. I think it was discussed either here or on Ampage years ago - the patents are available on the net although I don't have any links. Some people succesfully built their own ebow/sustainer system, but it's *hard*.

its the usual 386 ebow circuit you see on google etc...

you have to make sure the magnets are in the correct polarity...and the coils for it to work though....or it just wont......don't glue magnets till you are sure..... ;)
