I don't quite understand the LED in the top right hand corner of this diagram...one end takes the 9V+ and the other is the LED+????????? I don't understand what to attach to the LED+ and I'm really not an expert on schematics. Any clue what it is I'm not understanding here? http://ustomp.com/?p=12

If you are referring to the part labeled RLED, then that is the current limiting resistor for the LED. The + side of the LED would connect to the pad labeled LED+

The RLED resistor value depends on the type of resistor. Usually you can go with a 1K or 4.7K.

The positive end of the LED goes into LED+ and the negative side goes to the power jack. The +9V gets a wire coming from the power jack.

Thanks for being so speedy guys! So does it only serve the purpose of telling you that your power supply is present and feeding the effect power? or does it play a part in creating the sound? Obviously the most important thing to me is getting it to work but someone once told me that knowing was half the battle too.  :P Hopefully before the weekend is over I'll have this thing up and running.  :icon_biggrin:

led only indicates power and rled only stops your led from burning out
always think outside the box

so technically its optional????

Only if you DO NOT plan on installing an indicator LED.

Or... if you plan to install the current limit resistor off-board.

Bottom line is, if you want an LED to indicate if the effect is on/off.... you NEED the resistor.

ummm I'm kinda confused so other end of the led goes to a true bypass switch?....they're showing the "offboard stuff" on board unlike most layouts? I think I fell kinda duh for not getting that if thats the case.  :P

yes, the 3rd pole of the 3PDT is used for the led

rled can be on or off board. in this case, it's shown on board

I've never seen it shown on the board....originally I wondered why that was but then I got so used to it that seeing it on board made me confused. Sometimes I'm glad I ask silly questions.
