I use modpodge for a few coats and then clear coat it with polyurethane. You have to seal it because it is water based. Found that out the hard way when a buddy spilled a beer on one at a gig. :icon_eek:

I usually soak the paper in water for small time, so it does expand, if you don´t, the water based glue or coat makes it do but maybe uncontrolled wrinkles and that´s what I dont want. It shrinks back for smooth surface when dry.

I have used water resistant or waterproof PVAc glue and Titebond III or water based clearcoat for gluing the moistened paper, straight from the can, applied with small brush.

When dry I have used water based furniture or floor laqcuer on top, similar stuff is sold as decoupage stuff
