I just finished building a rangemaster clone on vero board and everything sounds great however I get a kinda loud static noise when I adjust my guitar volume pot.  This happens with all of my guitars.  The only mods I did to the pedal was adding a switch to toggle between input caps and a 2.2 m pull down resistor.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks very much!

Dc on the input. Check the cap(s) aren't leaking maybe?
Blood, Sweat & Flux. Pedals made with lasers and real wires!

Thanks very much.  I just talked to an amp builder friend and he also said dc on the inputs.  I traced the whole circuit and I had the pull down resistor wired incorrectly.  I had one end on the -9v strip.  Took that off and everything is good now.  Thanks for the help!
