Ha ha!  Nope.  Kirk appears to be immortal.  Which probably massages Bill Shatner's Constellation-class ego somewhat...   :icon_lol:

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

Mike Burgundy

Oh boy...Is he gonna start singing again? ;P

Nice work!

So if your into speedmetal, maybe make the Wampler Triple Wreck in a 1590A next then.
Someone on the other forum did.

T-T-T-TRIPLE POST!  :icon_redface:

I just printed the graphic on waterslide paper. I decided against the suicide phaser graphic since I'm going to start selling them. I live in the bible belt and it would be hard to sell it with that graphic.

Ha ha, love that Kirk picture!  :icon_cool:

Thanks Paul ;D

@pyro    That's perfect. I'll need to order some of them fancy shmancy pots though.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

Mark Hammer

If people are building these things for themselves, why don't they use 1/8" mini phone plugs and jacks for interconnections?  That should free up a wad of space, not to mention giving you more flexibility with respect to where thngs are placed.  A 1590A should be able to easily accommodate 2 jacks, side by side along the rear skirt, letting yu place the stompswitch close to the front and leaving all that real estate ( :icon_wink: ) in between.

haveyouseenhim

Like I said, I'm starting to sell them.  And I dont have a bunch of 1/8th inch patch cables laying around :P

I'm making progress on the enclosure. The other one is a new finish I'm trying. I got the idea from Darron

Very nice.
How do you get that effect for the one on the right ?

haveyouseenhim

I saw this effect on Darron's site. I used a wire wheel with my dremmel to make the stripes. Then I used a transparent red lacquer to color it. Then I made a rig to make a sunburst finish.

Do you people realize this is a disease, right? Called miniaturitis, it´s in the books. Lok for it.

A five knobber! Are you out of your mind?? How am I supposed to turn them?? With tweezers??

:icon_mrgreen:

One question: if you have a bunch of 1590a pedals side by side on the pedalboard, how do you stomp on them without turning two or three at a time? Really thin pointy shoes?

I´m currently trying to figure out how to fit 9 knobs, 3 toggles, 2 LED´s  and the 3PDT without using my mom´s cake pan for a box... and no, no 9 mm. pots allowed.

You have to wear winklepickers:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winklepicker

I have seen a variation of these where the toe is curled around backwards like something you would see in a mediaeval woodcut.  The only people I have seen wearing them were Italian street gangs in Toronto in the 1960's.

haveyouseenhim

^^haha.   Maybe that's why Gearmanndude wears those pointy snakeskin boots  :icon_lol:
