handy pot tip - disassembly. video inside.

if i take apart a pot for cleaning etc it seems difficult to get the tabs to bend down tight on re assembly.  part of the prob is putting two bends in the tabs.

try keeping it to one simple bend, distorts the metal less ,, makes a tighter fit on re assemble.

couple of pawnshop tools there. rusty old channel locks i customized - ground to a sorta needle nose tip ( width also)

the little yellow handle jeweler size needlenose are from japan, nice steel and total precision machining. note how hard i flex them without breaking!

i doubt i paid more than a dollar for either tool.
