I want to add a DC power jack to a Boss AB-2 switch. I know it uses 2 batteries (3v).
Anybody knows the actual power range of that thing? I want to be able to use it with a normal effect power supply.
So I was thinking of building in a 3 v regulator, but if this thing can take a 9v power supply it would simplify things a lot.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot Tony. Looks easy enough. But is that a good way to do it? Why do we use voltage regulators then?
This is for my friend that plays guitar at church. It will be plugged in like 24 hours a day!

Just one more question. Why is he using 680 resistors? Any other values would have given 4.5v. Why 680 ? Anything I should be learning from this?
I guess it as something to do with the load?
