ROG May Queen question

I've built a May Queen using the following layout

It works fine and sounds much as I expected but the maximum output volume I'm getting is approximately unity gain. I was expecting a little more output. Is this normal?
I've had to bias by ear as setting the drain of Q3 to 5.5v just gave me a gated splutter. I have a good sound at about 6.5v.
Tried replacing Q1,2 &3 no change, tried increasing the value of R18 but had to rebias after which the output remained the same as before
Beginning to think it might be due to Q3. Not because of electronic reasoning but because I bought the J201's off eBay & they were much cheaper than all the other listings...

Oops, sorted!
C6 is 2.2uf &  I had a 22uf in there. Had checked it a hundred times but I'm either blind or dopey. Volume is increased, removed C4 & biased for max gain without gating or spluttering. Good sound with loadsa bass which was a suprise. Will check it tomorrow at volume
