This topic has probably been done a few times but sometimes its best to start fresh as a way of updating.... so who is your fave seller and who would you avoid?

Avoid polida. As for who to use, I cant say. Ebay always has a certain level of sketchiness.

What problems have you had with Polida?  I've had mixed results, but overall it was OK.

Sub par components and TERRIBLE SERVICE when they screw up. he acts like he cant speak english till you get paypal and ebay buyer protection involved and then his english gets really clear. Polita is truly a swindling scumbag. he tryed to bribe me to leave positive feedback. I kept the money and left negative feedback for how he treated me.   and boy, his messages were in perfect english when I did that ;D ;D ;D

I ordered 4 MN3005 from him and one was defective.  I returned it to him for a refund.  He said he required positive feedback before refunding because he was afraid I would leave negative afterward.  I told him refund first.  He eventually did refund before feedback.  In the end, all was right, but it was a bit of a hassle.

I only go to Ebay when Tayda don't have what I need. Then it's usually pot-luck

I like getting good quality parts every time from a reliable seller in a reasonable time frame.  I've not been impressed with most eBay sourced parts (supplies and tools are different), there is a frequent enough occurrence of fakes that I don't trust buying chips/transistors, if a seller disappears so does my source, and as of late, shipping from China has been upwards to a month.  So ordering parts from eBay is not worth it IMO unless you can find a reliable, good quality, domestic source - which is rare.

Well thats why I started this thread...so if people had reliable good quality sources they could share them. I've never ordered parts from anywhere so I have no experiences to tell about.

How would you rate the quality of they're stuff? I looked at a few items I regularly use and was wondering why some stuff that I pay fifty cents for in store is a penny or three cents... I didn't look for anything to special but even common transistors for three cents seems unsane!

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)
