I have a behringer bsy-600, (boss syb5 clone), that stopped working after I foolishly left it plugged into a power supply over night. It wont turn on from battery or AC. When I use the visual sound 1spot, the 1spot itself makes little clicking noises.
Is that enough clues to give a diagnosis? I was hoping it might just be a short in the power section not a fried DSP chip but that might be the case.

Sounds like a short or burned component. Have you opened it up?

The 1Spot making clicking noises sounds like the power is shorted. Without any power supply connected, measure the resistance from the power input to ground and see if it's 0.

Correct! The 1Spot does a slight "ticking" sound about once per second or so when its output is shorted. That's the sound of it shutting down in protection mode, waiting a bit, then trying to come back up.

Correct advice, both Rockhorst and charmonder.
