Im to build a krank DM since someone bought my deluxe bazz fuss but a got a little issue about the DM tonestack...can I remove the fenderish tonestack and use this instead http://amps.zugster.net/images/articles/tonestacks/6G8.gif or any other tone control? If yes, from which part should the DM and the tonestack intersect?

Yes.

Assuming this schematic from the gallery is correct...

Then the DM tonestack would be on the bottom-right, from pin 5 (470p/33k/250k/22n/22n/1M/25k) the 1M pot on the output will need to stay - You do want a master volume, right?!

reducing the pot value of treble and pot wont make the circuit right? How great woul it affect the tonal range I can get.? Cant find 1M pots in my province..

I don't have any personal experience in modifying the DM - what are you looking to accomplish in changing the tone stack?

Even if you can't find any 1-M potentiometers in your area, the tone stack that you posted only calls for a 1-M on the Bass, you could just reuse the existing parts.

Use 470K/500K. Most of the action is in the 100K-500K part of the knob. In *this* circuit the last 500K of a 1Meg adds just a little bit more, often more than any guitarist wants.

I got to playing around with the Tonestack Calculator, I think these two are about right for the existing vs. your proposed. The values may be a bit off, but I think the general shape should be right...

oh...thats it.. I'm gonna have to use a bmp tone control..thanks for the help guys...I cant build a TMB tonestack .

This shouldn't be too much trouble for you, if you'd like to start with the BMP tonestack though you may start with Beavis Audio, here:
http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/BigMuffToneControl/

If you're looking to try other (simple) options you might consider Jack Orman's stupidly wonderful tone control (SWTC):
http://www.muzique.com/lab/swtc.htm

The frequency sweeps I posted were just to give you an idea of what to expect though, don't let me scare you off. The existing tone control has a slight/moderate mid-scoop and the proposed (the one you asked about) allows for more drastic changes to the treble/bass content.

I've used a bmp tonestack (ramshead mod) from rkerkhof.ruhosting.nl/Taas/Mods/Big%20Muff.htm and it worked great.. Thanks for assistance and ideas guys!

oh I got another question. In the lpb1-like part of the DM, what does the 4.7M, 47k and 470k resistors do... I cant find those values too so I subtituted 4M, 1M and 100k respectively. Have Ive done this good or should I have used 5M,50k and 500k?
