REBOTE DELAY Questions,. PLEASE HELP ME. :)

Im new here at Diystompboxes forum. right now, Im building the rebote delay 2.5 from tonepad.com. I believe that this project would work, because of its demos on youtube and various sites. But, I think those folks have the right components installed at their builds.

Too sum up my nooooooobility, heres my questions. 

1. I can't find these, What can replace these components?

TL072
78L05 (5v positive regulator)
BTW, what in the world is "mA"?


2. I can't also find these capacitors.


0.027 uf
0.082 uf
51 pf
5 pf


3. what types of Caps should i use?

All of these parts can be purchased at Smallbear, Tayda, Mouser, etc. There are no highly unusual parts.

Do you know how to convert micro, pico, and nanoferrads? It might be easier to find the capacitors you're looking for if you do. These are standard units, so there are many places online that you can find a chart or a converter.

mA is milliamps.

For the "type" of capacitors, typically you will use ceramic for pf values, poly for values > 1nf < 820nF, and electrolytic for 1uF or larger and all polarized values.

0.027   use 0.022uf  (22nf)

0.82 uf   use 0.1uf  (100nf)

i used 10ks and 33ks for the 12k's and 39k's..

round up to the nearest...


you must use a 78l05...it gives you 5 volts for the pt2399.

have you got 2 x  10nf's..if so join them together in parallel to make a 20nf

if not try the .033 

these parts are easy to come by though man..

Ive got them sir. but i will use .033 rather that combining two. I think the difference in the sound will not much be that too audible, if i substituted it with higher values.

But, which is better? replacing with lower value or replacing with higher value?

go for the 0.33 its the nearest you have to a 0.27

ive subbed lots of bits on the rebote, with no bad side effects,

just a few notes:

the 33k above the op amp controls the ''level'' of delay...i swapped mine to a 22k for higher level delay.

i also used a 100k pot for delay time and put a 150k resistor across pins 2-1 IIRC this gives a little more delay time just on the point of breakup...

nope,   mines true bypass..do a search on that...

i would build an echobase by slacker, that has tails and modulation, very , very cool delay pedal ...it'll go nice with your rebote too..
