cool stuff.

i've not tried this but for those with inkjets rather than lasers - i've seen some folk do 'transfers' to wood by applying a layer of pva and water (sometimes referred to as modge podge or some such) to the surface for the print to adhere to. this transfer can then be sealed. has anyone tried such a technique?

This technique might work much better with the transparency method.  Use transparency sheet = no paper fibers on the toner.

I can see this working as well as possible improvements to it. Why not give the printout a coat of lacquer so it won't smear? Stick it to the alu with another coat of clear?

Must try this.
