I need one that is kinda fenderish, and the other one for high gain stuff.

I've found these

But can't seem to find any audio of people using them.

This one is often overlooked and is stupidly simple but don't be fooled, sounds real good! Also open for mods..  Fender'ish

This one is similar to the one that I already showed you in another post... great for high gain! This guy is a genius!!

Click on "Speaker Simulator (V30)" on the left side of the page.

One thing around here is people rarely post sound clips of their stuff... They say 100% verified but no demo? Ok, I'll take your word for it bro, wtf??? :icon_evil:
Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

Ah yeah, forgot about that simple one from ROG.  I remember now that you used it in your AMT B1 demo and it sounded pretty good.

Did you ever get the AMT cabsim working with J201s? I have an S1and the cabsim is the shizzle, but i'bender seen a few reports that it doesn't work well with J201.

JebemMajke

Thanks people. But I guess I ll go with Hotline 2 for now.

Mark,

Yeah, never had much luck with the AMT cab sims... I got it to work but sounded like crap! I guess it's based on the 2SK208-R's or something but I ain't messin with it anymore.. The HL2 is plenty good enough! Actually most of the time I just use impulses anyway, you really can't beat them!

I love all of the Russian preamps using the mosfets and jfets! I love all the Russian stuff! I am in heaven with all of the projects I am getting from them! I can't believe they don't really get any attention around here?
Here is the ENGL 3 by AZG that I built if you haven't already heard it.. The thing smokes! Working on the Krank, SLO, VHT and some other various crap! Krank is badass also!

This is a preamp or just a high gain distortion?

See here

puzzle87 - Nice link!!! Are you a Russian assassin? :icon_lol: That looks sort of like the AMT sim in the Legend Series pedals... Sounds real good in the demo! :icon_wink: I want something simple like this with no switches/knobs to put inside my pedals that just sounds good, period.

I am kinda confused on the voltage/s listed on the schematic "5...40v"? does that mean 5v to 40v? Those BC550C and BC560C are high voltage, I can use the BC550B and BC560B without a problem, right?

Just when you think you have found all there is to find on the Russian forums somebody uncovers a whole new load of good stuff!! Never ends... From that link I found about 5 more things to look at :icon_eek: There is just not enough time in the day to make all this stuff :icon_frown: Friggin gold mine!!!

5...40V means, that the correct operation is guaranteed in the range power supply voltages from 5V to 40V.

I wouldn't recommend using transistors BC550/560 with index A and B, they have significantly less value h21. This may change the characteristics of сabsim.

Yeah I know what it is, but is it a preamp or a stompbox. Let me rephrase that, does it sound better if you stick it into poweramp or is the same?

It's a stompbox... Sounds best if direct recording/mixing or into a poweramp.

Excellent, good and fast work!
Nothing against, but want to offer own variant with some improvements:

Here is a demo of KMG's V30 marshall speaker simulator found here  http://milas.spb.ru/~kmg/index_en.html

This is not the Simple CabSim in the last posts! I should not have used delay ::) I think it made it muddy but, it's a disease I have :-\ It's called IDS or (Involuntary Delay Syndrome)  :P Not to be confused with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which I don't have, yet!

Anyway, the Hot Line 2 sounds much better but still all of the hardware cab simulators don't really "cut it" for me! They may produce the frequency response of a given speaker/cab but they are missing something, a soul maybe?  :icon_evil:  I think the Palmer PDI cabinet simulators sound the best of all from what I have heard... I am hoping  that the Simple CabSim sounds better!? To me there is still no substitute for a real cab and mic except for some of the impulses which sound really amazingly real.
